can a two year old get any std's from a public swimming pool?

My daughter took my grandson swimming in a public swimming pool, and now the child's mother is claiming her son got std's from the pool. She is claiming the pool is full of std's. This has crushed my daughter, she would never do anything to hurt her nephew.  Can any one, much less a two year old get any form of std's from a public pool or any pool for that matter?

Absolutely agree with Joan.  If you could get stds from a pool, everyone would have one.

No. Children can not get STD's from public pools. If she suspects the child has an STD she needs to take the child to her pediatrician and get medical attention. Children generally get STDs  from sexual abuse.
