can this cause swelling/pain in lymph nodes?

my doctor said i had this molloscum contagisum, and my questions are as follows
1. i had one pimple 2 months ago, popped it myself, not knowing what it was, then another two weeks ago, this time a derm froze it and then 6 days after he froze it, my groin area lymph nodes got painful, they ached and were tender. can this cause this type of pain?
2. i was seeing a girl at the time that has herpes 2, we use a condom and have been careful, she takes valtrex and says she has not had an outbreak since we have been together, i trust her, although i know she may not know also, question is are MC and herpes related in any way?
3. if MC pimple got infected, could that cause the pain in the groin, or what else could cause that? i had a herpes test and am waiting for the results
4. does the blisters of herpes and groin pain occur at the same time? could an MP blister have been herpes and then the groin pain
happens 2 weeks later?

Herpes and molluscum contagiosum are not at all related. It's just random bad luck that your partner probably has both. It is unlikely that herpes and molluscum would be confused by your doctor; that is, I suspect the MC diagnosis was accurate. And by the way, congratulations to you and your partner for having a level-headed approach to her herpes infection.
The inflammation in your groin might be due just to the irritation of treating the molluscum, or could be a sign of infection (staph or strep, for example), which can complicate any treatment that involves damaging the skin. Call your dermatologist right away--or seek care immediately if you get prominent swelling and redness, or if you have any fever.
As to herpes, that might also be a possibility for your new symptoms; that is, perhaps you caught it after the MC was diagnosed. But that seems somewhat unlikely given the protection you and your partner are using. To answer one of your questions, usually lymph node inflammation due to herpes would occur within a couple days of the blister, not 2 weeks later.
Bottom line: I cannot judge accurately whether you have new genital herpes in addition to MC; or a bacterial infecttion as a result of MC treatment. You need to return to the dermatologist or other health professional, not try to figure it out by on online advice.
