can you pass gonorrhea to a man through oral sex?

I was tested several months ago after becoming sexually active again after 2 years. Everything came back clean and shortly after I became involved with someone. Evidently he was not faithful because after we broke up I got tested again just to be safe and found out this morning I have gonorrhea. Between the break up and getting test results back I had oral contact with another male. So my question is this, is it possible that I could have passed my infection to him this way? There was no vagina to penis contact between us, just oral contact.

Well since you did not have an oral swab it is possible that you had it orally also, but as said above it is difficult to pass it orally.

The short answer  is YES, but its not that easy to get via oral sex.

(STDs) from insertive oral sex. The more common ones include gonorrhea, chlamydia, and non-gonococcal urethritis (NGU). These usually can be treated easily with antibiotics. You may also get syphilis (which usually can be treated easily with antibiotics (if identified early enough) and herpes (which can’t be cured but can be treated).

Well did you just have a urine or vaginal swab gonorrhea test? Or did you have a throat swab done also?
