I think if you read the article (link) I posted it states around 25% of all new cases of gono are now of the superbug variety. So if you do have it, and as STILLHURTING pointed out, it would be hard to think you are a member of the 1% family of systemic gonorhea.
But if I were you and a member of the 1% family, I'd take the shot..... in order to make sure you are cured because you/I may fall within the 25% family of superbug strain of gono.
But then you run into the issue of insurance not paying for IV medications. Yes, beleive it or not some insurance companies do not pay for any meds given through shots (like birth control, tetnus etc). So if you want to use your insurance, and they will not pay for IV drugs.... Zithromax may be your only choice.
Good luck to you
Just one note, gonorrhea can be systemic, but it's the small minority of cases (1%)
Also you can take 2g of azithromycin for gonorrhea as opposed to the shot, if you prefer.
Hold on now!
Could it be gonorhea? Gono is systemic, (meaning it travels) secondly you state that you have taken antibiotics but they seem to be useless. Well gono is considered a superbug, that does not respond to the traditional oral antibiotics.
You have to get a shot. Usually 250 mg, in the rear... pretty harmless and the effects are pretty fast. Most modern facilities/clinics give a shot for gono. & 1 gram of zithromax for the chlamydia all at the same time, all at the same visit.... Because many folks are co-infected with both chlamydia and gono.

The fact that you are a virgin, is refreshing, but if you have a continious UTI that will not clear up, a shot may be the easy solution.
Talk to your physicin.... and good luck to you
Mutual Masterbation is considered safe sex. A hand job would qualify as safe sex. Chlamydia is a bacteria infection which needs a warm enviroment to survive. You risk which is low for oral sex anyway would be were the contact happened. You did not have vaginal sex since you are a virgin then their is no way that you could have std in that region of your body. Take Care.
