dry genital skin

My penis seems to have dry skin, not the entire thing mainly on the head and a little bit on the shaft just under the head. It occasionally itches and the skin seems to flake right off.Most of the dry skin is gone now. When i first saw it i decided to put lotion on it, which was not a good idea. It became red and inflammed. i have not been sexually active since february, and these symptoms just appeared 2-3 weeks ago. My last sexual partner is a good friend of mine who got tested in april, 2 months after we last had sex, and told me she was clean. It doesnt match any std description i've read online or in my medical books.

Because dry skin can be from many different things. and STD's do not give dry skin.

I have this exact same problem, I received oral sex a few days ago, and it was itching a bit a few days ago, and today morning I wake up and find this problem he discovered. This is definitely some sort of symptom from an STD. My penis has never looked like what it did this morning, I got so freaked I put some hand lotion on it.

But I'm sure when it dries out again that peeling/whitish/dry look will be back. I booked an appointment for today.

I think I have the same problem for more than 6 moths now.  I have seen the doctor twice and he gave me creams that help a little bit and then the same thing happen. No bigger no smaller.  Did you find the solution? I asked for another appointment but I think is going to be at least three weeks before he can see me. I just want to know if I can do something meanwhile. Thank you

i have this same problem and it is seriously a mystery...no one can tell me what it is, i have a few more things going on thou...and i have recently taken a test, im clean...i wish someone would just tell me how to get rid of it!

ya i just got the same mysterious symtoms (symptoms). I just had some genital warts confirmed at the planned parent hood clinic about 2 months ago. I didnt get any other tests so now im wondering what else i might have. I plan on going to get tested for everything next week this dry skin just cropped up and ive never had it before in my life. I had unprotected sex with one chick back in january but i guess one time is all it takes.

My husband have a patch of dry skin on his penis, when he washes it goes away then cimes back. I was concern about it, he said it was an irration, i went to my physican to get checked but was normal. It freaks me out...
