flaky skin on head of penis

Hi i had a brief unprotected sex encounter with a friend of mine on thursday for about 3 minutes before we put a condom on and continued having sex.  The past day i've noticed some flakyness around the head of my shaft and am worried that this could be the start of an std.  The sex was pretty vigoruous so i am assuming that it is just irritation and the skin is healing itself.  It looks like severe dry skin..  Does this sound like any std you have heard of doc.  worried it's herpes or something bad.

Penile skin flaking is not a symptom of any STD.  Your speculation about "irritation"--e.g., from latex allergy, lubricant (especially if it contained sermicide), vaginal deodorant, and so on--makes sense.  But don't lose sleep about herpes or other STDs.
