follow up question, still very worried please help!

First of all, I want to say thank you again, your help is invaluable to all of us and I cant thank you enough for all you do.  I posted a message last week about a small raised bump on the shaft of my penis that had persisted unchanged for 2 weeks.  I had a small white bump on the shaft of my penis, it did not have any puss, fluid, or ny pain whatsoever. Since I sometimes see stray hairs in this area (I tweeze any pubic hair i see thats on the shaft) I thought it might be an ingrown hair, however after i went after it with a tweezer all i did was make it bleed and found no hair. I applied neosporin since my last post and it has mostly healed and there isnt much of a bump there anymore. I am terrified this could bump could be herpes.  I should mention that at no point, even after i dug into it with the tweezer, did I feel any pain or discompfort.I went to an std clinic when it was still fresh and the clinician told me she thought it most likely was an inflamed hair follicle, she said the only thing else it could be was a wart and said it didnt look anything like that.  She didnt mention herpes, but when i asked she said i could do a test for my own peace of mind. Is it possible for an ingrown hair or somehting like that to heal so quickly? I should say,its not completely healed, there still is a mark that looks like scar tissue.I also should say, i do see simaller bumps around that area and definatly towarard the base.  I have gone to other doctors about that and have been told not to worry.   Should I be satisfied with her prognosis or not?  thank you very much for your help

As I always say, I don't compete with the diagnosis and advice of an apparently knowlegeable health care provider who actually has examined someone.  You have seen multiple doctors.  You should be satisfied.

This post was borderline at best; it should have been obvious I couldn't help furhter.  But your second post in follow-up to this one was highly inapproriate and I deleted it.  The problem above could have been described in far less than 1600 words.

sound like it was a ingrown hair to me, i get those often. a herpe bump is re-occuring and pinful, it is a lesoin, not a puss-filled bump. you are okay.

You can have ingrown hair follicles with no hair present according to my local STD deparment. Im no doctor, but it sounds like folliculitis I get it all the time. Your risk for and STD from oral sex is low. If you have had cold sores (HSV-1) on your lips you are already immune to HSV-1 on the genitals. You rarely get HSV-2 from oral sex alone. You are alright bro, you went and saw the doctor what else can you do?? Relax you are alright and move on with your life. Good luck bro.

I am always in praise of this site, but it was not my post that was inaprorpiate, it was your reply.  I am worried, and had questions so I asked them, condesention and adimosity was not needed and somehow, over a computer, managed to hurt my feelings, thanks for the previous help and good luck to everyone out there. take care doc, I have no more questions for you.

Mate your problem is in your head. Please seek counselling as you dont have a STD and anxiety can make you think you have something you dont. I know that was my problem. Just be considerate and give others a chance to post questions. How many docs do you need to tell you that you dont have a STD?? Good luck bro.

Hey Bro I think counseling might be your best bet, the hardest part of STI's is the emotional ramifications, also posting twice in same day isn't cool, takes away the opportunity for the rest of us, good luck.
