fordyce spots or herpes.....

by worrywart41, May 05, 2009 02:06PM
Hello, i am a mid 20's year old male, and received unprotected oral sex from a female about 3 months ago.  For approx. the last 2 to 3 months (when i started looking), i noticed that i have a cluster of about 5 to 6 white spots on the bottom of my penis under my foreskin when i pull the skin back.  They do not hurt, and have remained unchanged for this duration of time.  I have similair looking spots on my penis (in rows, which i believe to be fordyce spots) on the shaft.  Can fordyce spots come in clusters like this?  What is this.

I should also add that the white spots are not raised any more than the forydce spots are.

they could be Fordyce spots, they could also be warts which are in clusters... I advise seeing a dermatologist

they dont look anything like the genital warts ive seen on the internet, they look like the fordyce spots, except 5 to 6 of them together in one small area.

We don't look a pictures, but I think if it is something that is worrying you; you should go to a dermatologist. it could be forydce spots but you wont know until you see someone.

Don't worry about it if you read the forum guidlines you'll see that, but mistakes happen don't sweat it.
Let us know what the dermatologist says =)

ok, i will. i have an appointment set up for next week. The doctor is a female, next week is the 13th week since my "worried/risky contact" (alittle more than 3 months ago).  If i did have herpes, can i just take the blood and urine test, or would i have to show the doctor a questionable pimple on my genital aswell.  I would feel more comfortable if it was a male doctor (the same as me).  No offense, just natural.

The Dr will want to see it.

Ok, so i went to the doctor at planned parenthood. The doctor looked at me, and said that it wasnt warts, and nothing to worry about.  I told them before hand that i had done some research on the internet and said it thought it might be fordyce spots.  The doctor had never heard of fordyce spots apparently, and didnt know what i was talking about, but did say theyve seen plenty of people with warts, and in their opinion, they were not warts.  they took a urine sample and blood sample.  They asked if i had urininated an hour before and i said no.  Looking back i think that i did about 50 to 55 minutes prior. Is this a big deal?  Thanks
