The first part is correct - you can get them frozen off, and they might come back for awhile.  Most people clear the virus within several months, 90% do by 2 years.  Some people will clear the warts with no treatment, others do need treatment.

There are 2 kinds of hpv - the low risk kind, that cause visible genital warts, and the high risk kind, which cause cell changes on your cervix and can lead to cervical cancer.  If you have visible warts, that's not associated with cervical cancer.

HPV isn't detected by blood tests, except in research, unfortunately.  Visible warts are diagnosed by a visual exam by a doctor, and the high risk kind is diagnosed through an HPV done with the pap smear.  There is no test for men and HPV.

warts if in an early stage, can be frozen off but ussualy re-occure some time later, you would need to get them frozen off by a docter or buy special lotions and creams to get rid of them. most warts are caused by HPV which is a virus that is transmitted by physical contact with an ifected person. in men hpv is usualy nothing to stress about, but in woman it can cause many complications. if you let genital warts get out of hand then you would need to get them surgicaly removed. it always helps to see a doctor. HPV is detected by blood tests.
