h/o false pos rpr now it's neg. should i worry??

three years ago i had a positive rpr with 1:1 and a weakly reactive fta-abs.  i was given doxycycline and the health dept. repeated the labs approx. 6 weeks later.  the rpr was still reactive at 1:1 and the fta-abs and tppa were both non-reactive.  now i'm pregnant and my rpr came back neg!!!  does this mean it could be a false neg??  should i have another fta-abs done??  the health dept. originally said it was a false pos and i never had syphilis.  i'm going crazy...my next ob appt. is not for another 2 weeks!!!!! help!!

Well, I can't tell you anything but look at it this way, if you test it again. you'll know whether it's false or not.

Is this an update to your question the other day?

If you are concerned, get a confirmatory test done.  It wouldn't be a bad idea since you are pregnant - otherwise I would tell you to not worry.
