help please- NSU WONT HEAL!!!

i noticed some liquid coming out of my penis on the 30th of nov 2008 two days after sleeping with my partner and four day after a long effort on my own to masturbate. i should note that i have been living with my partner for almost two years now. so i visited GUM  dec 2nd 2008. i was given azithromycin (4 tables). i was so worried i sent my girlfriend for a test also. All her tests came back negative.She was called by GUM also and given Azithromycin too( heard its standard practice).
After some days the milky liquid started coming out again and i rushed back to the clinic on the 6th of jan 2009 and i was told my result previously on the 2nd of dec was negative for Chlamydia but that i had non-specific urethritis(NSU). i was given a repeat of Azithromycin but further blood and urine tests were taken to check for other diseases like hepatitis, hiv etc. All my tests came back negative.
I went back to the Clinic for the third time as my NSU wont heal on the 13th jan 2009 . They gave me metronidazole and zithromax capsules- 1x6 and 2x7.
MY QUESTION IS THIS-
I AM ABOUT FINISHING THE DRUGS AND I STILL HAVE THE LIGHT MILKY STUFF STILL COMING OUT OF MY PENIS.i still urinate too often and i still get the tingly feelings inside my penis.
PLEASE WHY IS MY NSU NOT HEALING AFTER THREE DIFFERENT VISITS TO THE HOSPITAL? WHAT SHOULD I DO PLS. HELP ME

Oh I'm glad to hear you are better.  :)   I love updates like yours.

And some days I don't know where I get the strength either lol, but I know not many others are talking about these things, so why not me?

dear AJ, i dont know where you get your strength to keep up with many problems here.Many people just come here when they have problems and some of us never bother to come back after the problem is solved.
I wish to thank you AJ for all your help not only to me but many others. you followed my development free of charge and all your suggestions and observations were 100% accurate.All i can say in appreciation is that i wish you joy and happiness in life. you are a hero.
I followed your direction and it worked in a matter of days.i was my own enemy and i panic alot after reading all sorts of rubbish from any source. My supposed infection cleared up immediatly i kept my hands and mind away from my ****. i am now perfectly ok . i have gone further to give up smoking and drinking , i wish to live better learning from the fear of my last infection. thanks a million once again and cheers xx

Oh have you been milking?  That's never a good idea.  Just let things be for a couple of weeks - don't milk it, don't check it (trust me, you'll know if something is wrong), and just be gentle with it lol.

zithromax capsules 250mg --- 1 x6 ( i think)
metronidazole 400mg  -----2 x7
they told me in the hospital that they wont give me anymore antibiotics.and that i need to wait for a while so as to observe my progress. that i should not milk or constant check to see if i am having a discharge. etc. this was at the same GUM cos i requested that i be refered to urologist.

Azith and doxy should both work for NSU.  Cipro (if that's what you meant) is commonly used for prostatitis and gonorrhea.  What dose did you take?

i was also wondering if it makes no difference taking the same type of antibiotics Azithromycin instead of Doxycycline and cy..... . i dont know but other ones ?

Thank you so much.taking your time to share your wealth of knowledge and experience with loads of strangers. i honestly appreciate your kindness and concern.
i have made an appointment tomorrow for a follow up as you suggested. she was first called by Gum on 22nd dec 2008 after her result(though negative as explained previously) . we subsequently were both treated again on the 6th of Jan. I have been too worried and too afraid for my health now that i cant even think of sex.
I have not gone close to her nor even nurse the desire since dec when it came back for the first time.
i will keep you posted. i am kinda worried having STI related problem for the first time in my 30 yrs of existence. and again i read it can affect ones fertility.

I'm not sure what those threads say that I haven't already.  I suggested your GP or urologist because it is my understanding that the GUM clinics don't do further exams, like prostate exams.  I could be wrong about that.

It just doesn't make sense to continue to take antibiotics if they aren't working.  You do need some follow up.

I would wonder if you and your gf are avoiding sex while you are on the antibiotics.  Has she been retreated?

i am confused with your suggestion. should i continue with GUM as usual or my GP afresh?

You need to follow up with your regular doctor and ask for a prostate exam and a urine culture to see what specific bacteria, if any, grows.
