I am a woman but I don't see what that matters. Yes the herpes blister will change in size during an outbreak. She should go get tested while she has the bump to find out what it is before she and you both go crazy thinking about this. I can't really say for sure if it is herpes. It could be and then again it could be something else. The best thing I can tell you is to tell her not to mess with the bump in anyway until she is tested. Make sure she tells the doctor where the bump is and that she wants a herpes test done.
Good luck to you both.
