herpes or male yeast infection?

I noticed some white bumps and red sores on my penis, saw a doctor who said it looked like herpes. I talked to the girl I'm dating and she said she discovered a yeast infection a day after we had sex.. so this could be a yeast infection and not herpes since the symptoms are similar.. how can I know for sure?

i am having the same confusion and its scaring the hell outta me. A week after me and my fiance had sex, i got a really bad yeast infection and my fiance has of white bumps on his penis!
I am not sure what it is either. but what i dont understand because i got tested for herpes and they said i didnt have anything but how is that when he has those bumps on his penis?

At this point both you and the gal you are dating need to get yourself type specific herpes igg blood tests for hsv1 and hsv2. Typically couples do not pass yeast back and forth. Also herpes is frequently misdiagnosed as being a yeast infection so it's well worth both of you following up on.
