in 1994 i attended a STD clinic here in liverpool. i was diagnosed with a fungus on my private parts. all over i might add.i have had the problem since then.today i am peeling dry skin off me as though it were cigarette paper.2 days ago with bad itching
and NO flaking skin. i applied undiluted TEA TREE OIL(advice off internet).the skin on the shaft became extremely wet. i continued to massage below thinking the wet smoothness was the oil waiting to penetrate my skin.however after a long time, say 20 mins it remained runny wet.i applied heat
from my hair dryer to no avail.i thought---shall i apply talcum powder?.no no that might further complicate matters.i got some absorbant kitchen roll and used it as blotting paper.eventually the skin on the shaft felt dry to the touch.i continued to watch tv, after about 4-5 mins it became very wet again.i continued to blot again until dry. ithen made a bandage from the paper and wrapped it around the shaft.i then retired to bed. on waking the paper had come off in bed, i was thankfull it had not stuck onto. the skin was dry and from experience i knew that new skin had started to form.now 48 hours later the skin is completely dry but the terrible itch still remains. i have cut
my nails short to lesson damage from scratching.i find that the loose skin should be left alone to shed itself without my interference.because when i remove loose flaking skin, part of what i am peeling off. is new skin still being formed.the wetness (though not runny) appears again.in the past i have applied--honey, yogurt, ginger paste, dandruff
shampoo, olive oil,and foolishly undiluted apple cider vinegar.i thought someone had taken a blowtorch to me.thank god for cold water.i have tried various creams from chemists without success.my GP has given me a cream DAKTACORT to apply.i have not done so, these type creams remove a layer of skin.the insert lable explains it causes thinning of the skin in the elderly. i am 71 years in one weeks time.please do your best to advise me. in due course, i await your reply..i remain michael in liverpool uk
If this has been going on for 15 years, I think its more than time to see a good dermatologist. Its a possibility, but unlikely, that you could have a fungal infection this long, but I'd wonder about allergic reactions
