also with high grade hpv cin 2 does that mean after treatment i will be immune to that strainStrains of hpv (my immune system will become immune to those strains of high grade ) or is this strain one that can keep reoccouring. just for the record i have never had warts or any other vaginal anything i have tested positive to strains 16 / 18 / 31 / 45
so i know it is serious to keep up with paps and checkups after treatment
can you help with the wart question and the immune question please
jodyandbenny
Those hard white warts on his penis are probably not warts. Men get odd - and normal - bumps down there and I am assuming that is probably what these are since he has had them for 10 years and they haven't changed. (see the "Normal variations" section on wikipedia's Penis article).
If he has any of the HPVs, I *think* with or without symptoms he can pass them to you.
I don't fully understand the immunity part. As I understand it, there is no cure for viruses (hpV). I thought treatment meant symptom alleviation. However, I read one research article where they talked about having no signs of the virus after two years of treatment. I don't know what treatment though, and that certainly would be useless if you are reinfected continuously. So they'd have to treat the husband as well in order for a treatment to be effective. Hopefully someone else can answer that.
As soon as you heal from certain strains of HPV (that are healable of course) then you would never be able to catch it again because you can get immune to that strain of virus, much like a cold. there are over 100 strains of HPV. Some strains of HPV can be treated and cured and some others can't. In men however, there seems to still be no test to see if the male has HPV or not (unless it's warts becuz it's visible) and also there are no treatment in men if he knows he has HPV. Most people do not show any symptoms therefore not knowing they are infected with HPV and pass it along.
And as far as i know they remove the wart if it visible.
