i had a ? papiloma removered from my pubicPubic lice area in 1993..i was told that it was a wart type thingy by my gp... then in 2003 i had another papiloma removed from the perianal skin, it came back as suqamous cell carcinoma. my consultant then took a sample of the scar tissue from the papiloma to ensure that all the cancer had been collected & it had.. since then i have had regularRegular insulin colposcopys & smears that have all come back as negative.. in dec last year i had a hystoscopy & biopsy & it returned a result of a thickening of the lining & 'pre- cancerous cells'..
my concern is that i have had HPV since 1993 and still have it.. i have read quite abit of literture regarding HPV.however it has confused me some what..could you help me as no-body as actually said to me ' you have HPV ' ..is this a classic symtom?.. will i have it for life? etc
my recommendation is to post your questions on the expert doctor forum on the right. It costs $15 but they are quite helpful and knowledgeable....This doesn't sound like a classic case of HPV to me, but they'd know best as far as online goes!
