i had blood work done, everything came out neg except for herpes, he said i had hsv1 and hsv2, that ive had it for 3-6 months, ive never had outbreaks, that i know of. it said something igm 16.09 and igm 1.5, i hve read articles so i will prob go back to get new blood work done but using the igg testing or any other that may determine it for sure if i have hsv 1 or 2 or both? is that possible?
should i get retested? what tests shoud i ask them to use or do or ask the lab to do?
If you really only had igm testing done then they completely wasted your time and money. Ask the doctor if you also had igg blood testing done and if so what the results were. If you didn't have igg testing done then that's your next step.
i did have breakfast in the morning when i wasn't suppose to, can this have any effect or could it have compromise the results in any way? i will check the papers again but i think it said 1.6 or 16.4, either way it's POS. i suppose. i would and will want to get re-tested again before the new year.
i'm not devestated, but it is somewhat puting me down, idk what i should do.
You need to get a copy of your blood test results and post them here accurately. As you've posted them at this point I have no idea what your actual results are. And yes it makes a heck of a difference between if it's 1.64 or 16.4!!! Also I need to know if that was a combined hsv igg test result or if your hsv1 igg was 1.64 and your hsv2 igg was also 1.64.
i think it did say hsv 1 and 2 16.4h, would that be combined? should i take another test in case, get tested again? can it be a test error? what are possibilities of that occuring?
I had HSV I/II IgG and my results were 49.5. I have never had a cold sore nor have I had any outbreaks...what does this mean....do I really have herpes?
