hsv2

my wife was diagnosed with hsv2 about a year before we got married she has taken treatment , and we don't have sex when she feels an outbreak comming on , she takes suppressive therapy .  her outbreaks are rare maybe about 1 a year , myself have never had an outbreak or been treated or diagnosed .. just a side note as a child my sister had chicken pox, which if i'm not mistaken is a form of herpes ,, i am 30 years old and never had an outbreak nor had chicken pox (wich my parents tried to make sure i got them ) i've never had a cold sore on the lips . is it possible for me to have given my wife hsv2 ? has my immune system just really good at suppressing this virus

Its possible.  Get a type specific IgG herpes blood test and find out if you have it.  If your wife never had any type specific testing (and its a good bet she didn't), she can also get this test done.

Its possible that she has type 1 genitally, and you have it orally and gave it to her via oral sex, or she got it from someone else.
