I had pink eye or at least thats what what we thought it was at first. I had a red eye, lots of discharge, woke up every morning with my eye sealed shut, and it was really blurry. I had tried pretty much every eye drop they could have prescribed. Nothing healed it. About a month after it started I went back home for Thanksgiving break, where my gyno is and got my STD testing done. I tested positive for Chlamydia and took the prescribbed medication. Its supposed to clear it up within a day or 2. Along with the "pink eye" i was bleeding durring sex, another symptom (at least for girls). That stopped after treatment, but my eye was still messed up. After taking the med I went and got tested again to make sure it was gone. It was.

I suggest, even though your dr. isn't worried, get STD tested. It's better to do too much, than too little. Better safe than sorry. And if it isn't an STD it'll help put your mind at ease.

Pink eye and Conjuntivitis are the same thing....an eye infection....
that has nothing to do with std...........if you have a discharge from your penis, that would be a reason to be concerned about std. In that case see a doctor asap.
If you have a bacterial infection in your eye the discharge will be yellow or green in which case you need a doctor as well to clear this up. I hope this is helpful to you.

not recently but from the research on conjuctivitis draws an eye to an std. Chlamydia and gono. seem to go hand and hand. and yes i have had unprotected sex recently

The discharge would not be related to conjunctivitis, don't worry so much about Gonorrhoea, anyway it's quite treatable, my advice would be to consult your doctor, and if you have had any risky sexual encounters recently you can get tested, by the way do you drink plenty of water?

Pink eye and conjunctivitis are 2 different things, are your eyes simply red or do you have excess sleet as well?

Possibly Chlamydia it has been know to cause pink eye due to oral infection, it is fairly rare but (oral infection that is not Chlamydia itself)
