if my vagina opening is slightly sore

by looner_, Jun 28, 2009 09:21PM
and my inner labia is red and sore as in i feel constant rubbing feeling, although theres nothing there, could it be just yeast? i had unprotected sex about 2 weeks ago, and it felt like when he inserted, as it feels now, like rubbing.. i dont see any sores yet  or dicharge of any, or any smell not normal. i never get yeast infections, i have had bacterial infections in the past. i had some xtra yeast in my diet for a while, could it be due to that maybe? i have a dr. appt. in 3 days but im so worried, as i never had this feeling or reddness before.

Usually, there is a lot of itching with a yeast infection. Do you have any itching?  And yes, if there is a lot of yeast in your diet, you could be more susceptible, especially if you have been treated for bacterial infections.  Antibiotics kill the good and bad bacteria in your body, giving the yeast a chance to take over.

i dont have any itching, i  was  taking br. yeast supplements for a few months, but had know symptoms till i had this sexual encounter a few weeks ago. and i was told the yeast i was taking was not the bad yeast that gives the yeast infection.  im so worried i cant think of anything but this, i have been soaking in epsom salt every 4 hours.

Yes, but being treated for bacterial infections can cause the yeast to grow out of control.  Especially if you added yeast to your diet.  Unless you were treating by increasing yeast and not antibiotics.  Other than that the only thing to recommend is for you to see a doctor so you can get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

i found out ,my lab test came out w/ another bacteria, and the medicine they put me on is for trich. im so mad at my self ,the sex wasnt even that good. im telling you, im not sure if it is deffinatly trich. i got the symptom of the soreness is all, and it was 2 weeks after the sex. trich shows 5 to 28 days it says. im going to call the dr. office to find out exactly what type of bacteria this is.then i have to go in in a week and a half to see the dr again. i really know sex is not worth all the  headaches..i know my area was red  and sore. and i dont know if i am going to tell this other person, being we arent going to see eachother like that again. i read how this std is highly cotagious  and it is spread through sexual contact only.would you all tell him? i dont believe he didnt know he had it. i know i was clean, because i had just been to the dr. for my pap test 2 or 3 months ago. thats why i dont even care to tell him.,but thats how i  got here, nobody wants to be straight out there.if they tel me its trich, for sure i dont know if i will tell him.

Some women get chronic bacterial vaginosis.  I don't know how else to tell you to prevent it except to tell you to make sure you do not have anal sex before vaginal.  Don't tough the anus, then go vaginal.  Also, make sure you wipe front to back...especially when you have a BM.

Trich is very common and not to defend him, but men usually do not know they have it.  I forgot about trich causing itching and pain in and/or around the vagina.  I have had it before too and yes, it can make sex very painful.  You should tell him so he can get treated.  Make sure he knows that he probably didn't show symptoms because most men don't.  He can look it up or ask a doctor to confirm that.  Then leave it at that.  You did the responsible thing and told him.
