ingrown hair, cyst ?

Hi,
About 10 days ago I noticed a bump under the skin on my labia majora.  It was smaller than pea sized and tender to the touch.  Unfortunately, I felt the need to try to pop it and in doing so it bled a little.  I put alcohol on it, not too smart-burned like hell.  Now the bump is gone, the skin is raw and seems to be a little watery.  I'm making myself crazy thinking that this is syphillis.  I've been with my parter for 4 months and he's had physicals and surgery in this time and also no symptoms.  Any ideas?  thank you.

This doesn't sound like syphilis or any other STD.  I think you had a zit, or an infected sebaceous cyst.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
