is erythrasma transmitted through a sexual contact??

if someone has erythrasma in the groin- is it caused( or could be) by a sexual contact with another woman? some saying that its due to direct contact (like in a sexual intercourse) while others that it is not transmitted through a sexual contact (likewise yeast infections)- what's true???
can I have sex with girlfriend if I have erythrasma and not infect her?  please answer my question because I am so embarrased to talk to her. thanks
ps.How long it gonna take if I use erythromycin pills to get the reddish brown couloration off my groin?

I wouldn't have sex with symptoms, and I'd tell my partner about it.  I'd have told him the first time I noticed symptoms, though.

If you are sexually intimate, you should be emotionally intimate enough to share these things, and this could also affect her.

This was answered earlier today by one of our experts.  I'm not sure why you are asking again here, but yes, its contagious, and while you might not have gotten it from direct sexual contact, you can pass it on that way.

While you have any genital symptoms, you shouldn't have sex.  I'm not sure why you are embarrassed to talk to her about this common skin disorder, but it would be best if you did.

I don't know how long the pills take to work.  Have you googled this?
