is it STD /CPPS/STRESS- ANXIETY

I had unprotected sex and oral sex almost two months ago. I then had sex with my wife who then developed a case of BV about  week or two later. I started to have frequent urination and stomach pains right after her diagnosis. I went to my GP who tested me for Gonn and Chlamydia All came back negative. In addition my urine culture was negative. I also started to have a constant pain at the tip of my penis. I went to a urologist who looked at my test results  and based on examination did not see anything wrong with me. However he gave me a course of doxacylene (sp)- 7 days 200mg.  Two weeks after I still had pain and went for a test of UU and G Mycoplasma. The dr there did want to test me for it as he thought it was a waste of my money and thought it I had more of mental issue due to guilt. They both cam back negative. I then had sex with my wife again. I still had the pain and I took a 1G Aziromycin(SP) as I was thought I might have given her a STD previously and then re-infected   and  . Its been two weeks and still have a pain at the tip of my penis. There is a slight burning during urination. I went back to the urologist and said there really is nothing he can do for me. he stated I might have CPPS.  In addition the person I had unprotected sex with went to a STD clinic and tested negative. Also , when after I urinate it dribbles then a few clear drops. I never had this before. I also developed pain in my groan during this time which was diagnosed as an inguinal hernia. Your guidance would be appreciated as I don't know what to do next.

Welcome to our Forum.  I agree with the input you have already received from your doctors.  You clearly do not have an STI- you (as well as your partner) have been evaluated and tested for STIs and you have taken multiple antibiotics without relief, proving that this is not an STI, both based on the negative tests and the lack of response to broadly effective therapy.  CPPS is a possibility (if you have not, take a look at the write-up on Wikipedia, it is quite good) and for better or worse, CPPS is not associated with STI, does not respond to STI therapy, and is not associated with harm to sexual partners.  it may linger however.

My advice is as follows- I see little potential benefit for you from further testing for STIs, or to occur with further treatment of any sort.  It does sound to me as though you have thoughtful, well informed physicians who are involved with your care.  I would stick with them, not "doctor shop" and do your best to move forward without further concern about STIs.

I hope this comment is helpful. EWH

I doubt that an inguinal hernia would make such symptoms.

If you had NGU, the therapy you took (boththe azithromycin and the doxy) would have cured it. EWH

Thank you for the response.

Does the negative culture rule out NGU?
Also, could the inguinal hernia cause and of the symptoms?
