it is possible to transmit to child i am very nervous

i am single father who has my son very often. i recently got diagnosed with gonorhea and am being treated. when i first notice discharge i went right to the doctor who took the test and told me everythign came back fine but put me on doxycycline anyway. the discharge and burning didnt go away so i wen to a second doc who put me on cipro, and after another week said it did come back postive. since the cipro didnt work he put me cefuroxime.

heres my worry. while i had it there were several times i look at it and then washed my hands right after, or went to bathroom and then washed hands, and either changed my sons diaper or maby bathed him or something. or laying in bed reading a book with him what if some of the discahrge was on the bed somehow. am i being paranoid? is there anyway this could trasmit to him. i am really upset and i cant function thinking abtuo this.  i have not seen this question asked directly. But what if wasnt thorough enuff washing hands? what if he touched my dirty laundry that had discharge while he was playing? or could have gotten on bed? please help

even if you never, ever washed your hands, you still wouldn't give your kid gonorrhea.

touching dirty clothing isn't a risk either.

thank you i really appreciate what you do here. i just wanted to make sure, as i am sure you understand everhything goes through my mind. Maybe i forgot to wash great after bathroom, maybe he touched my underwear i recently threw in laundry (kids get everywhere fast), maybe it rubbed off on bed, .. maybe when i clean his but (even tho i use wipes and try to be extremely careful) i didnt wash or sanitize hands great. i dont know but  i know i have thought through a million scenarios praying it coudlnt happen in my head.  sorry to lay out all these scenarios but that is what i have been doing in my head

you didn't give your son gonorrhea!! we don't have the sort of contact it takes to transmit it to our children!
