jock itch or something else?

hello,
Im a 20 year old sexually active male. I had sex about 6 weeks ago and than about 2 weeks ago i discovered what i thought was jock itch. After a week of it not going away with Gold Bond, i consulted a doctor who also thought it was jock itch. She prescribed me some over the counter Lamasil and also oral pills called Ketoconazole.  I also thought it was a good idea to get tested for STD's. she agreed saying is couldnt hurt. I submitted a blood and urine sample. I got a call from the doctor saying that the results came back completly normal. Although, after a week of using Lamisal and taking all of the Ketoconazole pills, the "jock itch" still hasnt gone away. There is a slight odor accompanying it and there are small red pimpils (what they look like) around my genital area. The pimples arent itchy. I pushed on one to see if it had any fluid or discharge but there was none. The "pimple" simply just got a little swollen and much more red. Do these "pimples" sound like a symptom of jock itch or what can i try to get rid of the jock itch and the pimples?
I have no lesions, sores or cuts on my penis and have had no discharge or flu like symptoms. Is there any way there could have been false negatives on the STD tests? or is this simply just jock itch?

It doesn't sound like an std, as you were told last week.  If your symptoms aren't improving, follow up with your doctor.
