lots of questions concerning me

Hi, I got my results last monday from my doctor saying that I tested positive for chlamydia. I took the medication azithromycin the day I found out which was a week ago. I had no symptoms before I got checked, I was just going for a regular pap. If i had it for awhile, do you think I would experienced anything? Or if I just got it because i did have intercourse a week before that I contacted it early in it's stage? While I was waiting for my results I had sex again. Do you think it's possile for me to still infect my partner and if he goes and gets checked that nothing will come back positive? If his results come back negative and mine were positive do you think it was too early to tell since I have it and he doesnt? Do women usually get yeast infections after being prescribed this antibiotic or am I starting to recieve symptoms?

Hi

Thanks for sharing your story, I know you asked retorical questions but I wanted to comment:

If you did have gonorrhea, you aquired it sometime in 2010.  But I honestly, don't think you had gonorrhea.

I don't think your PID was caused by gonoorhea, considering your medical history.

I can tell you what happened to me and I am still trying to understand what happened.

In 2007 I was with someone a couple of times I was tested in October 2007 and in March 2008 both came back negative.  I didnt have sex with anyone until Feb 2010 all of the sudden I was bleeding with sex and all of the sudden I started to get pain so severe I thought i was going to die.  I was diagnosed with Gonnorhea and PID. The guy I was with tested negative in Jan and neg after i found out. So did I have it for over 2yrs or what?

This still confuses me and I dont believe that I had it that long so either this guy who I really do trust was lying to me or I had it for that long. I really dont think he lied though as he gets tested all the time.

You can have chlamydia for up to 2 years with no symptoms. So this could be an old infection or a new one, or it might have been a false positive.

Your partner should test 1 week after last exposure with you. You and him should not have sex for 1 week after medication is finished.

Yes antibiotics often causes yeast infections.
