low titer of RDR

I had my annual check up with my primary care physician last week, which included blood tests for all STDs. I received a message saying that I had a low titer of RDR and that I needed to make an appointment with an infectious disease specialist. My doctor's office wouldn't tell me what the test results could indicate, and I haven't found my information online. My ID appointment isn't until next week. I would love to have insight as to what I am dealing with before them.

Has anyone received similar news in the past?

Syphilis is curable, so try and relax and get some sleep, keep us updated on your situation.

Thank you! I haven't been able to reach my doctor and the nurse wouldn't answer me when I asked which specific test result was related to the RDR.

I was fearing the worst (HIV), but if RDR is standard for syphilis, I won't worry incessantly for the next week.

The RDR is normally for syphilis. You would have to talk with your Dr for more info because I can only speculate that it was a positive test for syphilis.
