molluscum???

So I've have these reddish/skin colored bumps at the base of my penis (not on the penis) for 6 weeks now and I'm wondering if it might be molluscum? I was tested for stds four days after my last encounter and all the results were negative. 1. Did I test to early? Could this be herpes....for six weeks? Is there anything I can do to get rid of them? I pricked one a few weeks back and it just bleed a little. They seem like they are going away sometimes and suddenly roar back others. Please help!!!

Wow, I was just about to start a new thread.  I am afraid I have nothing but bad news to report so far.  First off, no I have not been to a doctor since I was first seen (roughly 72 hours after exposure).  Update:  In a nutshell this is like playing wack-a-mole.  I have probably a dozen now spread out from right to left (most are in sort of a cluster on the right side but not like a herpes cluster you seen in photos).  I've had 4 HSV1 oral outbreaks earlier this year so I know what those look and feel like!!  I had one at the base of my penis and zapped it with ACV, but now I have a slight scar.  I had what I think was another on the underside of the penis (mid shaft) zapped it with ACV and there was no scar or anything, just gone.  The ones I have now are all in various stages and I am trying a variety of experiments I've read about online (Aloe, AVC, Lemon Balm, doing nothing).  I tried Tea Tree Oil (TTO) at first and it was working in my opinion but it irritated the heck out of the surrounding healthy skin (dried and pealed).  ACV is really burning one and doing NOTHING to three others.  Hard to say what it is really.  Worst case IMO is HSV2, followed by Genital Warts, at least with GWs you have about a 30% chance they just go away.  I just now tried to pop one of the newer ones (present for 4 days now, pink firm, round, not changing) thinking if it was HSV2 I should get some fluid just like my HSV1 on my mouth, nope just blood (stupid I know, now it will just take longer to heal).  They seem firm but not cauliflower-like which is what has me so confused.  If I leave them alone they seem to leave me alone too, the one I haven't touched....no change.  I am trying everything under the sun to get rid of these thinking that it is HSV2 (pill popping-wise)  My pills have expanded and if you want to know my regimen just hit me up.  Anyway sorry for the long post please let me know what you come up with!

Wow. I think we have similar symptoms. Their barely visible pen point maybe even tinier white dots. I have a few on the tip/head of penis. When erect penis is kind of red but no pain what's so ever. Itch every once in a blue moon. But I think it might be more because of shaving. And my tongue is just out of control. Underneath mainly red red red. Throat ache comes and goes. Have u been to a doctor ever since after 4 day of being exposed? I'm going to get tested for herpes first as soon as I find a clinic. Because red on the symptom sounds like it. Except their not a size to where u can pop them! And no oozing or pain really. Is just their. Disturbing. Please keep me updated as I will once I get tested.

Day 53:  So update.  I had 5 "bumps" for the past week or so and I decided to nix the Tea Tree Oil I had been using for the others (which worked on all except for the two on the scrotum) and switch to Apple Cider Vinegar for the remainder.  The TTO didn't seem to be having an effect on these 5 being the reason.  I was dabbing them about 2-3 times a day with AVC soaked q-tips and still not really getting anywhere, so I decided to get aggressive. I folded and soaked strips of toilet paper in ACV and bandaged them to the bumps for two days and all night as I slept.  Three days later they all scabbed over so I went back to dabbing for a day then stopped all together. Result - 2 of them the scabbed and fell off after a day or two and the other three have scabbed and are coming off slowly.  All marks and redness are receding.
Of note:  I went to dermnet and went through their galleries on MC, gential warts and HSV2 and when I compare those images to mine I just don't see a solid connection.  My bumps are not in clusters, don't ooze or burn - which makes me think no on HSV2.  They don't really seem to form into cauliflower like and look flesh-colored either or have a warty appearance (and I have 2 flat warts on the bottom of my forearm for comparison) = so maybe not gential warts!?  And they def. don't look like MC. So now I'm thinking folliculitis?  As an experiment I dabbed a 6th one with ACV a few times but never covered it like the others and it just faded away.  I am also letting two recently arrived bumps just go without treatment to see what they do.  Personally I think they look a lot like zits in a way - however there is NO hair follicle interference or in-grown affect with each bump!?  They are clearly red, some have almost a "white-head" like appearance to the tip, they don't itch or burn or really cause any discomfort.  If I was seriously engaged in something all day and not obsessing about this I bet I wouldn't even notice. Did I mention I live in a very warm and humid climate - which only exacerbates the problem - fun.
Regardless I am keeping up with my supplements and healthy diet as best I can - even juicing veggies and fruits now (went 48hrs on nothing but juicing).  For possible HSV2 I am continuing to take the BHT 750mg per day, for possible GW I am taking AHCC 3g per day, and for overall health I am taking 10000mg of sodium ascorbate (Vit C. liposomal variety).  Regardless of what it is I will continue this for the next 90 days and go from there.  Also, Oil of Oregano and Olive Leaf Extract.
Your quick prayer would be greatly appreciated too!  Thanks.

I have read in numerous locations that testing as early as I did is next to worthless and will yield false negative results (72-96 hours after exposure). Plus I have never had bumps like these before, especially lasting seven weeks unattended. The bumps I have now pretty much look like zits, are hard, and obviously hurt when you try to pop them....which I don't anymore. I used to wet shave all the time and get razor burn and it would heal faster than this!
All that being said I still do appreciate your input. If you have anything else for me I am all ears. I plan on getting tested in two more weeks.

You should be diluting the TTO when you use it. It can actually do more harm than good when you use it straight up.

Geographic tongue is thought to have a genetic component to it. For more folks, nothing really helps it heal up faster unfortunately.

Why are you wasting so much money with all these supplements? Eating healthy usually does it without anything extra.

You were seen and the provider didn't think that these were anything worrisome. Why not believe it? We all have bumps down yonder and they will frequently look more pronounced when the skin is dry or when sweating during the hot summer months.

Day 29: So I still have the tiny zit like bumps (9) around my pubic area which are very sporadic and still the 2 spots on my scrotum.  I targeted one spot on the scrotum and did a tea tree oil compress for 10 minutes, then touched it up throughout the day. The result was just a hardening and irritation of the skin around it, however another spot in the pubic area vanished. All others have been left untreated and have not changed in appearance....they really kind of look like zits to me. Not a single one causes pain, irritation, or anything of the sort. My geographic tongue is still there, however it has lost the rough patch next to it as well as its white ring around it and seems smaller. I also have had numerous red zit like formations on both of my forearms for four days now, however as of now all but five are gone and without any treatment. These bumps were mostly solid red, some with a "white head". Maybe over exposure to the sun?
And now for treatment. I was taking fish oil, garlic, b12 complex, folic acid, l-lysine, d3, zinc, Echinacea. Over the last two days I have added BHT, Oil of Oregano, coconut oil, grape seed extract, and St. John's wort. And I will be adding olive leaf extract (today) and starting a megadose of lipsomal vitamin c (starting at 1000mg and working up to 25000, Saturday). I have also changed my diet, no alcohol, smoking, very limited caffeine (green tea)., very limited to no processed foods, and instead eating massive amounts of fresh fruits and veggies, which isn't that hard, more seafood. Overall just healthier.

I can hear the comments already,....you're taking to many things, how will you know which is working, BHT is horrible there goes your kidneys and liver, there is no proof for x,y,z.  All I can say is that hard times mean hard choices and if you were suffering and desperate you might be able to sympathize. Wish me luck and prayers.

Day 23: So I went back to dabbling each one two or more time a day and today, right now, it seems like all but one spot is gone. The one left has not changed in appearance at all even with tea tree oil and remains a fleshy to whitish colored spot about the size of pin head right around where the scrotum meets the shaft. In the past few days spots have started to appear as zit like very small reddish bumps in previous outbreak areas, and I feel now like maybe I was chasing ghosts by hitting them with tea tree oil, like maybe they weren't MC or really anything but clogged pores. They seemed to come alive and look more pronounced after showering, but as of right now everything looks pretty normal. In other news the dentist said I may have Geographic you've, due to a small reddish lump/bump on the underside of my tongue. So now my mind is racing, is this related, do I really have HPV, or what is this? My follow up is in two weeks and if it is still there they want to do a biopsy. Still doing research on treating HSV2, MC, and or HPV with coconut oil, BHT, olive leaf extract, and a host of other things. Prayers and we'll wishes please.

Day 18: So I stopped the tea tree oil for the second day now and the lone bump on the left side is all but gone. I dabbed the largest one on my scrotum for the past few days and today it looked as if the white core came out, but it could have been dry skin flaking that got wet and rolled up. At any rate I think I have been making overall good progress. We will see how this.evolves. I have been reading more about olive leaf extract or this old food preservative that fights it as well. Wish me luck and prayers.

So here I am, two weeks from when I started and in most cases everything has cleared up. The bump that showed up on the left side is still around but I think it is in the healing stages now. The spots I first treated are completely gone and you can't even tell there was something there. The ones on my sack.....well I haven't really treated those. I. The past three days I have been giving them a dab but not to mich attention. They haven't really changed since day , are super tiny, fleshy whitish color and cause not noticeable discomfort. I've kept up with all the vitamins pretty good. A word of caution with the tea tree oil, I over did it a couple of days and the result was flaky dark skin. I'm still hopeful this will all be totally resolved in another week or so and still not 100% on if it was molluscum or something else. Lots of prayers.

Day 7: So I was excited by about day 3 & 4, the spots had started to reverse and crust over, so I started to treat more spots. Well now it seems like my progress has slowed, some of the first spots I treated are now pretty well flat but still noticeable, the one at the base of the shaft seems most stubborn and it is day four of treating it with virtually no improvement. I started dabbling the most prominent one on my sack and it really hasn't responded either. The bad news, I think the tea tree oil has caused dry skin on my sack, since it has been flaking for two days now, and worst of all I has just found a new bump on the left side of my penis .... no where near any of the others, all bright red, raised, and flaring.  I have closely scammed the first ones I treated though and they seem like bumps just not raised. All the ones still raised are very firm but nine of them cause any discomfort to examine. Most of what I have read says this process takes two weeks to do, so I will keep at it.

Day four of the tea tree oil herbal combo and there has definitely seemed to be a positive effect. There has been some noticeable scabbing/flaking going on and the spots seem harder and less raised than before and tend to be a more fleshy tone all the time now. There is less irritation from the tea tree oil and I applied it three times today with a q-tip rather than a cotton ball, which seemed way more effective.  I will be adding a whole slew of vitamins starting tomorrow to my regimen....L-lysine, B compound, D3, fish oil, floic acid, zinc, vitamin c, garlic, goldenseal, plus the echinacca I am already taking. Also plenty of water and veggies. Wish me luck.

You need to follow up with your Dr or maybe see a dermatologist. We can not diagnosis you or even give you a good idea as skin issues need to be seen.

Since no one is responding, maybe I need to put a little more information out there, or just post this as a log until help comes along.  So, I tried to count the "pimples" and counted about 11. They are all on the right side at the base of my penis, one on the very bottom of my shaft, and about 5 on my sack (again all right side). The ones on my sack are super small and have been that way the whole time. Three days ago I started taking Eccenachia and 1500mg of vitamin C, and also started dabbling the largest three with tea tree oil 4-5 times a day. I think the tea tree oil has caused some mild irritation, but the spots are looking smaller. I noticed to that when I take a warm/hot shower and or "actively wash the area" most of the spots look irritated/inflamed/red and they seem larger for most of the day. I have been taking cooler showers which seems to help.  For the last 6 weeks there they have been though, always with me. From what I can tell they have never burst open or wept like I think herpes would, and I have had hsv1 on my lip so if hsv2 is anything like it then I don't think it's genital herpes. However there does seem to be an itching from time to time.  I'm not sure genital warts would act so benign, especially since the ones on my sack have stayed flesh color almost the whole time and so small. I'm just not sure what I am trying to treat....until I can see a doc in two weeks. Sometimes I'm wondering if it might be some kind of infection from wet shaving six weeks ago, I did have bumpies after in other places, but this seems absurd. Any input is appreciated.

When I had my std tests run, i had the doc look, and at the time my concern was hsv2, she didn't seem to think they were hsv2 to the point she didn't even want to swab them. I insisted, she did and the results were negative....but maybe it was to early. Not all the bumps have a dimple I hear about with molluscum, but since it has been so long I don't know what else it could been. 6 weeks ago I had shaved and my usual razor bumps and burns have all since healed.

You would have to have an exam, bumps can be many things and only a Dr is going to be able to tell you what they are.

Forgot to mention, sometimes there is an itching sensation, and sometimes I think there might even be a warm or burning sensation, but maybe the later is just paranoia induced.
