my sore has lasted for 4 months, could it be anything other then herpes?

is it possible for a herpes sore to last for 4 months? if not could it be anything else which i should be worried about.
i went to my clinic about a month ago, and they said it wasnt herpes, but just scatch. its the same scratch i had around my urethra from before, sort of looks like a paper cut, but doesnt ooze or hurt. the nurse said i shouldnt worry about it cause herpes doesnt last that long.
was gonna go get a herpes select blood test, but got fined 200 for parking so im broke again.

Also, if you don't have money for a herpes test, you can always go to Planned Parenthood (if you're in the US). They offer herpes tests at a great discount.
didnt think it was herpes either, but gonna go check Planned parenthood out before i start dating again.
not sure if i have warts, its only 1 dent under my urethra. i thought it was herpes, but man its not going away. could be my mind thats what making it hurt..so i guess ill move on, thanks everyone.
