need help with a quick question

yesterday I went to the doctor for post-nasal drip and at the visit I told him I was having some frequent urination and a bit of extra itching in the genital area.  I was with a  new partner about 4 weeks ago and I did use protection.  A few days ago i also felt some unusual muscle aches in my buttocks and left leg for a few hours.  The doctor said he would take a look at a urine sample but i think he may have been looking for diabetes considering i have had some other slight symptoms of it.  If he is looking for diabetes or something else will he notice an STD such as herpes in the urine sample?  Thanks ahead of time for the help

i found a few tiny bumps on both my shaft (located mostly at the base), and scrotum.  I am torn between whether or not its and STD (herpes) or folliculitis.  I tried popping it and it was very hard.  It came off but just bled no sign of puss.  A few days later another one formed in nearly the same exact spot.  Does herpes typically appear in the same spot and is it hard or could this be more like folliculitis.  Obviously a doctor will have to take a look but i just need an opinion.  Thanks.  I put this on my herpes and STD thread i wasnt sure which one it belonged to.

1.) do most guys have small bumps underneath the skin in the shaft of the penis.   without touching the penis it looks like tiny white specks.  Is this normal to have?

2.)  I also went to the doctor the other day and he looked at genital area and didnt see any sign of herpes or another std but im not sure what i have.  there are tiny bumps on the base of my penis, some on the sack and 2 or three spread out along the shaft.  They are darker in color and real hard. I popped a few off which caused bleeding and then a few days later they returned.  Does anyone know what this is?

3.) I understand a symptom of herpes includes muscle aches and i was wondering how long these aches typically last in a person that experiences this symptom?  I had an unsual buttocks and leg ache for about a day.

white tongue isn't due to herpes.  Usually it's either just a viral upper respiratory illness running its course or it can sometimes be fungal.

You need to keep following up with your provider for the itching issues.

o also one more question.  I have had a little itching in the buttocks crack area.  would this  be a result of genital herpes or would i have to have anal sex to acquire itching in that area?

what are the chances of this being herpes. I had protected sex about 3 weeks ago with a partner.  About a week ago i had an ache in my buttocks for about a day and then an ache in my left leg (felt like a growing pain).  For the past 1 1/2 weeks i have had a lot of itching in the genital area (mostly the sack).  There are no lesions pain urinating or discharge but potentially a little more urinating but i'm not waking up at night to pee.  I have been very stressed out and depressed that i might have it so this could also be the cause of the itching but i didnt think stress would cause  itching in the genital region. thanks for the help im totally freaking out.

yes im sorry i probably should have stuck with the herpes forum i just wasnt sure

Does anyone know if herpes virus can cause severe white tongue.  I just went to the doctor and was told i had post-nasal drip which is most likely the cause; however, I have recently been under the impression i may have gotten an std.  As mentioned above  I have felt some itching in the genital area but no lesions and i was wondering if there is any std that causes white tongue.  the majority of it scraps off but by the end of the day its real bad and its mostly white with some small red spots (not raised and same color as the tongue) spread throughout. thanks for the help

You could've asked this in your thread on the herpes forum :)

You can't test for herpes in a urine sample. sounds like they wer ejust looking for bacteria which is a sign of a uti.
