oral std risk-gay male

Hello all,

Hopefully you all can help and clarify some things for me. So, I've been in a committed relationship for close to 9 years. This past Tuesday, I met someone that I've known for a couple of years, and proceeded to give him unprotected oral sex, and he went ahead and ejaculated into my mouth.

Upon initially looking at his penis, I noticed no lesions, no clusters of bumps, or a chancre. So he appeared to be clean. I asked him at least 3 times if he was STD free and he kept reassuring me he was. He is very well clean and educated male.

So with that said, Since the encounter, I feel that I have developed a sore throat, and a tingling sensation in my throat and lips. Now I don't think it is really a symptom, but just want to make sure.

Can anyone help me out and perhaps ease my mind.

Yes only because you are in a committed relationship. Normally I would say no.

So what i'm experiencing could be a run of the mill, cold? Considering that there aren't really symptoms.

So, from what I described, should I bother going to get tested?

Oral sex is low risk for STD's and if you had oral gonorrhea it really does not show symptoms.
