pain and itching relief

im going to the doctor tomorrow to get a swab but from the look of the sores its pretty obvious that i have herpes... ive had it for a week now and the past two days its been getting way worse, its spreading and itching and burning, some websites say corn starch and it is working ok but i have to keep applying it every 20 minutes or so, is there something i can do that will last longer so it doesnt disrupt my day so much?
