paranoid or what?

I have swollen lymph nodes and I've heard that happens in the first few weeks of exposure to hiv is this true? I've visited the hospital but the docter just said go get myself tested. Am I paranoid or what? I've been tested before but I'm 21 and am very sexually active and well, this last relationship was'nt the wisest choice I've made in my life. HELP!!
