penis pain for 8 weeks. multiple treatments no cure

Hello, I am a 25yr old male in good health prior to this ordeal. I noticed the issues I am having days after a sexual encounter with a girl I did not know. We had unprotected vaginal and anal sex. Days later i noticed a burning sensation in the urethra which felt like something was lodged inside along with increased urination, overall urtethral pain, slight anal itch, and sore tip of penis. I contacted an ER doc friend of mine and he recommended a weeks of doxycycline. This did nothing. The following week i went to the family physician and she assumed I had contracted a bad uti/clymidia/ghonorea so I was given a shot in the butt that was suppose to cure these (not sure what it was called) and gave me an std test for these as well which all came back negative. I then received a testicle ultrasound which showed no abnormalaties. The next week I returned to the dr still in pain and she referred me to a urologist. The urologist said i had classic case prostintitis from my symptoms. He did an anal exam and said my prostate felt inflamed and to take 2 advil 3x a day and to avoid caffeine. Weeks went by and still in daily pain I decided to go to another urologist for a 2nd opinion. This dr was much more through and like the other Drs did a physical examination which he detected nothing visual wrong (no sores, ect). And he said at my age there is no way that I had prostintitis. He thought i had MRSA and he prescribed me bacterium DS and I took this for a week. This did nothing and now he wants to go in with a scope and inspect the urethra as well as the bladder to see what is going on in there.
So far I have been treated with doxycycline, cypro, amoxcycline, bacterium ds, and UTI meds and nothing has worked. My urologist insists that he does not think it is an STD that is linked to that sexual encounter but I find it strange that this all started days after the encounter. Currently my symptoms are an irritated tip of my penis that I feel the most when walking bc it rubs against my pants, an achy feeling urethra, tender sore testicles, yellowish tinted semen (which i just noticed in the past week). This has been going on for 8 weeks now and I am at my wits end. It has affected my life in so many ways and I just want to know what is wrong so I can get cured and be normal again. Any insight would be appreciated.

actually the more you shower, the more you destroy your "good" protective skin bacteria that allows fungus to over grow. you really can be too clean no matter what mom might've told ya growing up :)

thank you grace for your advice throughout all this it is greatly appreciated. I hope your right. Its hard to believe its jock itch with the amount of showers and lack of physical activity since all of this started. Mentally I am at my whits end and I am praying that this all ends sooner than later. I have been blessed with great health throughout my life and this has really opened my eyes to the other side of things. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, has been by far the worst 10 weeks of my life (no sarcasm). I know the Urologist/Fam physician both don't think its an STD but its hard to think otherwise with the amount of pain and discomfort I've been in constantly for months. I would think if it was urethritis it would have subsided by now but who am i to second guess the professionals. I pray they are right.

usually this is jock itch/fungal symptoms you are describing. you also don't always have any rashes with jock itch either. depends on what type of fungus overgrowth it is.

grace,

Any idea why I have a itching/burning feeling in my testicles, inner thighs from a urethra infection? The area is not red just feels very irritated all the time! The pain in the penis itself has greatly subsided but this has come about. i don't know if i had this all along and am just now noticing it or not since the more severe pain has subdued a bit. Have been putting athletes foot cream on it but I know thats not it bc there is no redness or bumps. I feel like I do see a very small rash on my scrotum but it comes and goes. Any tips?  Sorry to bother you with this btw....

Had cystoscope Tuesday. Doc said everything looked normal and that he feels confident saying it is urethritis.  Since then I have had some pretty persistent itchiness on my inner thighs and pubic region. No redness or bumps just very itchy. Do you feel this could be from the procedure or possibly the lydocane he used to numb the urethra prior to the procedure?

none of your symptoms sound like herpes going on. still have to properly cover the bases with testing at the proper times as I recommended.

thanks Grace. Trust me I know it was a huge mistake and I have def learned my lesson. I know I would have never done that in the 1st place if it wasn't for the fact I was very intoxicated.

In your opinion though would you say there is a low chance it is herpes since I have gone 8 weeks with all of these symptoms continuously and still have had no signs of lesions or sores?

you can have a prostate infection at any age. Not unusual at all for bacteria to infect the prostate in sexually active males. By the time you saw the 2nd urologist, odds are any prostate inflammation was gone.

you should repeat your gonorrhea testing as well as test for syphilis, herpes , hiv and hepatitis since you had unprotected sexual contact.

at this point, you've treated for the usual suspects. your urine testing is negative and your prostate is back to normal size.  Not unusual for everything to be a bit sensitive down yonder after all this and sometimes it just takes time to fully go away.  when you are at home, going bottomless is helpful to cut down on irritation and friction.  continue to avoid caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods too. drink plenty of water to keep your urinary tract flushed too. if it's not better in a few weeks, return to one of the urologists again for further evaluation.

in the future, only have protected sexual contact! it protects you, saves you worrying and saves you from frequent testing. not worth the risk of unprotected sex plus you should never trust that a stranger is properly preventing pregnancy!
