penis pimple???

alright, im going to try to summarize my story as good as i can. march 25 or '05, i had unprotected sex with a girl which only lasted about 10 seconds (sad i know)anyhow, since i didnt really know her and it was a one night stand i started getting scared. so i got tested for every std i could including herpes 1 and 2 with a herpeselect test about 4 weeks after possible exposure. everything came back negative, but then i read that herpes could not show up for a while so you should be tested around 12 to 15 weeks after. so i got tested in july at 14 weeks after possible exposure for clamydia (chlamydia), syph.,gonn.,hiv, and herpes 1 and 2 again with the herpeselect test again. all came back negative once again and my doctor said that im completly std free so dont worry anymore, so i listened and i havent thought about it ever since. however this is my problem, about the second week of november im taking a shower and notice a little pimple 1/2mm - 1mm on the side of my penis all by itself, on the ring from when you were born i guess. so i pop it and a little puss comes out just like a pimple on your face. the next day it was gone as if it was never there. so a week goes by and there it is again, exact same spot so this time i just let it run its coarse and it goes away in about 5 days. about one week later exact same spot same thing happens again and i popped it with a little pus coming out and again its gone within 3 or 4 days. anyhow its now been two months since the first time i saw it and it still comes and goes probably around once a week or week and a half. do you have any idea why this is happening or what it is?  is it just a recurring pimple or herpe?? like i said theres only 1 in the exact same spot with nothing else on my penis, also it dosent itch, burn, hurt or anything like that.if you think it is just a pimple would you recommend me doing anything to it like putting acne creams on it? im just worried and just pray its nothing. please help. by the way i havent touched another girl since her, however, i do like a girl alot and before we do anything i just want to make sure i dont pass anything on. thanks doctor

You were exceedingly unlikely to acquire herpes or any other STD from the very brief exposure you describe, probably did not need testing at all, and you certainly didn't need repeat testing for all STDs.  Based on the blood test result, genital herpes is very unlikely.  Pimples and sebaceous cysts (glorofied blackheads, really) are common on the penis; and recurrent swelling/infection of sebaceous cysts is common.  This sounds like a good bet, but of course I cannot make any diagnosis by online descrition and also will not speculate what treatment is or is not worth trying; you need to see a health care provider.

Good luck-- HHH, MD
