pimple

hi doc -

i went to a massage parlor about 30 days ago and received a masssage with a "happy ending" via her hand and rubbing on her chest. she also licked me a couple times but that was pretty much it. never a lick on the penis though.

well, yesterday i got what appeared to be a small pimple on the side of my penis. so, i popped it and a very small amount of tiny white stuff came out. little red today where the pimple was but that is about it. if it were on my arm i would just chalk it up to a garden variety pimple.

not sure if this was just a clogged pore which resulted in a pimple or something more. based on the activity i described above, do you think i should be getting tested for any std's -- herpes or something else? if so, should i wait longer to get tested?

Good grief.  Put it to rest.  Since you could not have acquired any STD during the event you describe, all other information is irrelevant.

Stop asking further "what if" and "yes but" questions.  This is my last response.

Hi Doc -

Did some reflection last night since the event in question you told me not to worry about but was wondering what you thought about all of the slight things happening to me after the event. Is this coincidence or should i be worried?

wk 1 - 7/17:
- afternoon 7/17 event in question
- afternoon 7/17 apply rid
- no signs rest of week

wk 2 - 7/24:
- late morning 7/26 shave my genital area with barbershop clippers
- night 7/26 notice cut like marks between my thigh and groin (rt leg); did not have any noticeable cuts though right after using the clippers and i had taken a shower right after using them (flew and drove that day for about 7 hours in total)
- morning 7/28 dr. took a culture (question was did he take too late -- most sites say it needs to be cultured between 24-48 hrs; he took it at 36 hours roughly); gave me antifungul cream to apply and he just thinks that with the summer and all the sweating that this is really the only cause. did test to ease my nerves.
- 7/29 to 7/31 achy pain in my bum; not sure why but then went away as well

wk 3 - 7/31:
- 7/31 test culture comes back negative
- 7/31 see derm to show area and pretty much healed up and said to continue using cream
- 8/1 see dr. because of sore throat and pain in ear. he says both are a little red but kind of sees a deep pimple in my outer ear. gives me bactroban to apply to help bring to a head
- 8/2 the pimple comes to a head and i pop it; goes away
- evening on 8/3 notice an armpit rash and armpit is swollen; apply hydrocortizone
- rash gone for the most part by 8/6

wk 4 - 8/7:
- on 8/9 armpit rash came back a litlle; applied hydrocortizone and switched deodorants to almay; rash gone really quick (saw a derm to check it out -- said nothing but time of year for this stuff)

wk 5 - 8/14:
- on 8/14 noticed pinkish/red spot (size of nickel -- not raised though) in pubic area couple inches above penis and an inch below my belly; applied hydrocortizone on 8/18 and gone the next day (saw a derm to check it out and he said it was nothing and to just use the hydro)
- on 8/26 noticed pinkish colored pimple with white head; popped it and tiny white stuff (more on the medium versus soft or hard side) came out; pimple not noticeable by next day
- on 8/27 noticed a red spot in my foreskin when pealed back; gone by night time

wk 6 - 8/21:
- nothing yet

overall:
- have had a slightly irritated bum area (like where you wipe); without the event in question, i would just chalk it up to too much continual wiping
- have had a slightly sore throat that comes and goes

hi doc -

sorry for frustrating you. don't mean to and do appreciate the advice.

one last question -- i read on so many sites that the transmission of herpes can be as simple as direct skin-to-skin contact but they don't necessarily provide any additional detail.

the question -- should one assume that any direct skin-to-skin contact (as in a massage where her hands and breast touched a person) puts a person at risk for transmission of herpes?

You know the answer, don't you?  Of course not.  It is SO frustrating when forum users try to hair-split my responses!

thanks doc. when you say "there is no way you could have acquired an STD, in particular involving the penis", could i have acquired an std on other parts of my body from the exposure i described?

also, i respect the rules and will not post anything else. i really appreciate the forum and respect its rule.

Sounds like a pimple and nothing else.  Given your description of the exposure a month ago, there is no way you could have acquired an STD, in particular involving the penis.  If it heals up as a pimple would, just forget it.  If it persists or you are otherwise in doubt, see a health care provider.

I think I recognize your username from a previous thread.  Note MedHelp rules:  maximum 2 threads for any person in a 6 month period.  No more permitted until half a year from now.
