This will be the last answer. THIS DOES NOT SOUND LIKE HERPES!!!! Not sure why that is unclear. The lesions do not sound like herpes, the lesions do not last long enough to be suggestive of herpes and herpes is not spread by contact with saliva. End of thread. EWH
does herpes fade away within 2 days?
This still does not sound like HSV. Please try to relax. EWH
the red spots fade aways within 2 days but more are emerging. does this sound like herpes? your feed is greatly appreated.
i meant 1-1/2" above my genetilia
its been one month after the encounter. last week i found a small red spot 1-1/2" about my genetilia. however, it was gone the next day. yesterday i found another small red spot around the same area. its still there today. there are other smaller red spots around my waist line. they dont hurt, no bump, just red a spot. during my encounter iam 100% sure that she didnt make contact around that area. however, her saliva might have. but her saliva didnt make contact with waistline. theres no red spots on my penis or scrotum. what do you think?
I think you are getting far too caught up on the "what if". This was a virtually no risk exposure- please do not worry. EWH
unfortunately there is no way of getting tested this soon. you need to wait 3 months for sure if herpes antibodies are in your bloodstream. according these doctors getting an early herpes test is useless and inaccurate. i tested positive last year then i waited 3months later i tested negative. either get tested or wait for the outbreak. hopefully it wont come down to that. i think your fine too. i had unprotected oral sex last year and i didnt get anything. the only thing that scares me is that "what if " phrase.
cheers
Hey Mark, I'm afraid I can only go off what I have read in these forums over the last few days but what I gather is that saliva has little to do with it. I have a feeling that it is direct contact from obvious herpes that you need to worry about. Other than that, risks are low... not as low as if you already had oral herpes tho.
Bottom line, if in doubt go to a GUM or sexual health clinic and get checked out. Chances are you're fine.
I know how you feel tho buddy, I'm in a similar position and still waiting on some reassurance in the International STD Expert section. Unfortunately I didn't have a condom.
i dont have oral herpes. ive been tested. i didnt notice anything around her mouth but then again it happened so fast. i also noticed that "blistex" lip balm which kind of concerns me. do you if saliva has anything to do with it? or is it direct contact?
Hi Mark, I think that you're pretty much covered.
From what I have gathered to date on this website is that even without a condom, unless there was a visible outbreak of herpes on your escorts mouth, then you are at low risk of picking up an sti through receptive oral sex.
Bare in mind that there's already a good chance you have oral herpes anyway, you should be good to go.
i didnt even have a erection and the whole thing happened very fast. 5 miniutes tops.would this minimize my risks?
Welcome to the forum. There is no risk for most STDs from the exposure you describe. A possible but unlikely in your case is genital herpes. Herpes can be transmitted by direct contact between an infected site and an uninfected partner. My suspicion is that the exposure you describe is minimally risky. Here are the considerations:
1. The main form of herpes a partner might spread through oral sex is due to HSV-1, the virus that causes cold sores. If you already get cold sores however, you cannot become infected again and there is no risk.
2. Condoms are highly protective in preventing herpes. The fact that you used a condom is in your favor as well.
3. Contact with lesions is greater risk than receipt of sex from someone without a lesion. If your partner did not have a visible lesion on her lip, this too reduces the risk.
4. Finally, most direct contacts to infected partners, whether or not they have lesions present, do not lead to infection.
Putting all of these factors together, there is very,. very little risk for infection. If you do not develop lesions at a site of infection in the 14 days following your exposure, you can be confident that you did not get infected.
I hope this information is helpful. Take care. EWH
