pubic bumps or something more??
Ok, so im a young college teen and recently ive started being sexually active. I started shaving my pubic area a few months ago when i heard that guys prefer that. Recently though I've noticed skin toned bumps on this area with hair in it. I started to panic that it could be warts but ive been tested within 6 months ago for stds and actually have none of those symptoms listed. These bumps dont hurt have no puss or blood, and on the outside below my belly and goes away within a day. Should i worry that it could be warts?? or could it just be that im shaving and creating a lot of friction 'down there' recently?? Somebody please help with any advice should i worry or is this normal??

there are all sorts of websites with info on how to properly shave off pubic hair and what extra tlc to give the very sensitive skin underneath that wasn't meant to be exposed to friction . not using a sharp enough razor can give you bumps. shaving against the hair growth can cause bumps. as the hair grows back it can look bumpy. all sorts of things this could be.

does this sound normal though??or worse?and can shaving create bumos like this?
i will set up a proper exam as well. and i really appreciate the advice at the end about guys. : ) i have a really over protective mom and its gonna be really hard to explain and talk to her about this, so im researchin all these questions on my own, thanks again for the advice

we don't test for genital warts when you get std testing done. even when you get a pap test that checks for hpv, it only looks for hpv on your cervix and not external hpv infections.
Have you had your gardasil shots yet?
bottom line is - you need to be seen for a proper exam if you are concerned. You probably should stop shaving for the time being too. toss the razor/change the blade so that if you have a bacterial infection, you aren't spreading that elsewhere too. also hpv doesn't come and go in a day.
Just for the record - guys are just happy to have sex and really don't care if a woman shaves her pubic hair off or not :) You are not a playboy pin up - you are a real woman who has lumps, zits and pubic hair .
