purple discoloration on head

I have a purple bruising on the rim of the penis head. this does not go away.

i also have red spots that come and go on the penis head.

i noticed sometimes they can be copper colored.

I checked and am being told this is not Genital Herpes.

I have one small raised bump that comes and goes but always disappears

could this be a bacterial infection or simply nothing at all?

I have surprisingly similar symptoms.  With me, the red dots come after I masturbate or have sex.  The purple color is always there, right on the rim, but is worse after I ejaculate.

Recently it has started to hurt after ejaculating as well, so I'm going to go to a urologist about it, probably in the next few days.

I don't know - all of those are maybes, and you need to follow up with your doctor.

appreciate all the advice thus far.

so based off the above you think this is something different?

do you think diabetes is possible?

I was thinking fungal infection or moscullum perhaps?

really not sure?

could be a simple thing like a urinary infection or yeast infection?

If its not going away, its not an std.  Bacterial stds like gonorrhea and chlamydia wouldn't cause this, and syphilis sores would go away - as would herpes sores.

Maybe you need to see a urologist.

I took the test for all 5 stds and they all came back negative.

i have a purple discoloration still on the rim of the penis head and sometimes red skin color.

I have been told twice i do not have herpes but this just doesn't make sense to me.

I was wondering if it could be another kind of STD? diabetes?

It could be simple irritation.

Have you ever had a herpes test?  Ask your doctor for a type specific IgG blood test.  At least you'd be able to rule it out.  The only thing that might be herpes is the bump that comes and goes - if the purple spot stays, its probably just your skin.
