rash in pubic region

I have developed this irritation that looks to be a rash in my pubic area.  It is not on my penis itself.  It is not really itchy but when it does itch i think it is because i think about it too much.  It looks more like an irritation.  They are really small bumps but not elivated or anything.  There is no puss or open soars coming from these bumbs.  I am not very sexually active but have been having unprotected sex with only 1 female whom I know is clean.  I asked her if she has anything wrong or has symptoms like mine and she does not.  I have been using goldbond powder in the area but it is not really going away.  It has only been a week but I have no idea what it could be.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the cause of this???  I did develope it after i used a public restroom and was at a pool in Las Vegas where I used their towels.  Thanks for your help.

You need to get this checked out.  It could be anything from an allergic reaction to fungal infection, but the only way you'll know is to get it seen by a doctor.

If it is true that she is clean, then you have no worries. But you don't get STD's for environmental surfaces.
