really hoping someone can help me with this ?

After reading and looking at all the pictures and forums...i am leaning towards having molluscum. I made an appointment for a dermatoloigist but he is booked for a couple of weeks until i can get in. I first noticed these small painless bumps in my pubic region (very few of them). It might not even be molluscum, but in case i wanted to ask if it was molluscum wouldnt my gf whom ive been having unprotected sex with for the past year have it as well if i did? I dont want to say anything for sure until i see the dermatologist but since we have been having unprotected sex ,would it be stupid to stop now until my appointment because its not like we havent been and she would of been infected by now. I am just very concerned i know that it goes away itself but she means alot to me and i dont want her to be at risk of anything. i only became concerned after reading about it online and its really starting to affect the way i am about our relationship. I saw in one Dr's post that it actually isnt as contagious as everyone thinks so maybe this is why. Anyone, leave me your thoughts or diagnosis on what i should do and if i can keep being sexually active with my girlfriend while waiting to see the dermatogist since we have been anyway?

Talk to your gf.   she really deserves to know about this. also being your gf, she's supposed to be your "rock" and help support you in times like this.

I know if my bf suspected he had something going on and he didn't tell me, no matter what body part it was or what it was he thought was going on, I'd be pissed!

If that is what you want, then maybe someone will reply.  But what if you go through all this and it turns out that it isn't molluscum?  So, you stress yourself out an keep looking for support and answers for something you probably don't have?  Knock yourself out.  I wouldn't torture myself like that.

I appreciate the advice, but like i said i have already made an apointment to see a dermatologist and hes booked so i cant get in for a couple of weeks. The symptoms have been going on for around 7 months now but never appeared to be of any kind of problem and i thought it was shaving bumps or something meaningless until i recently came upon some reading over the internet. i realize that i have to get to a dermatologist for the correct evaluation but in the meantime i just wanted to hear some similar stories to hear everything that it might be. i am not expecting a full diagnosis from this sight, but it is really nice to be able to discuss problems that people have in common and get ideas of MAYBE what it could be. thank you for the help though.

You posted about this on this forum once already this weekend.  Twice actually, I believe.  Then you posted in the Dermatology forum.  You have basically gotten the same answers.  No one is going to tell you any different.  Without a proper examination, you cannot be diagnosed.  Now, whether or not you should stop having sex with your girlfriend or not, that is a decision you both need to talk about together. Please, try to relax.  It has been 7 months already.  Got to the doctor and find out what it is.  Only then can you deal with it and move on.
