Hi Dr.
I know this topic has been discussed heavily in this forum, but I can't help but to ask you again, I guess every situation is a

I don't see any blood, I also don't see any visiable cuts nor leson on my penis. (although I heard some of the custs or leson may not be visiable).
After the incident, I realized how stupid I was to receive unprotected oral sex from him. I guess my question is what are the odds of getting infected with HIV virus (or how safe)from such an activity. Thanks.
The fact is many experts do not beleve that insertive oral is a risk factor to the person inserting. It remaons a theorectical risk and that is becaus no one can say that it can't happen if there is blood in the mouth. Saying that it can happen is much different than saying it has happened. There is no proof that it has happened.
Doc - I put you in the "comment to" so you could read this and take any steps you see necessary.
Leave the medical expertise to Dr. H. and stay out of the peanut gallery.
And the HIV+ guy giving you oral should be using condoms, just because he has HIV doesn't mean that he still can't catch a different strain of the virus.
whoever this person is a fool. do not listen to this persons nonsense!
Please visit this link http://www.dph.sf.ca.us/sfcityclinic/stdbasics/stdchart.asp, its from the San Francisco City Clinic, and they are world renown for their work. its a great STD risk chart! the only person who should be worried in this case is the guy who swallowed. You are fine, dont even waste your time to test. If you need to speak to more people go to www.aidsmeds.com.
FYI, a test was done for couples where one was HIV positive and one was not, and it was a mix of female and male, female and female, and male and male, and not one of the negative partners became HIV positive from having sex with condoms and having UNPROTECTED Oral Sex either way. So take that to the bank.

Thanks for your timely responses. I know my risk is low, however knowing the fact that my partner is HIV+ really worried me after the incident. As some of you have suggested, I really should have wear a condom for the whole period.... but it was too late. A lesson well learned and I did paid the price (already a week of anxiety).
Anyway, I will go get tested in 4 weeks to really put this completely behind me. and I will let you guys know..
Really appreciate all the advices and comforting.
From the CDC to clinics from all over the world who have advised about recieving blow jobs from HIV + partners, none, i repeat none, have recieved HIV this way from the many reports worldwide. IF your friend has HIV, it is likely, if from sexual acts, there was some sort of unprotected intercourse, but not from getting a blowjob. Even if your friends penis, who is recieving blowjob, had lesions, major cuts, herpes, anything where blood is visibily coming out, and the giver had an open cut, bad gums, and what not, the reciever is still remotely, remotely, theoreticaly has the 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001 % chance if at all of getting HIV. No cases. Next time, please consider the feelings of the person who already has anxiety. You were not yet knowledagable enought to give the advice you did withour researching.
i was a worried well once and its not good to hear from people who are not thinking of what they are saying.
Just read more if you have time. www.aidsmeds.com and go to San Francisco City Clinic, STD risk chart. check it out man. www.thebody.com
Thats the whole studied.
I tested for HIV on the 28th day (4 weeks), and the result is NEGATIVE, that's very encouraging. I know this test is far from conclusive (according to the test window), but I am already 90%+ comfortable. I probably will do a full STD screen in 2~3 weeks, not only for this incident, but it is a good practice.
