reoccuring yeast and bv

i get yeast and bv alot i have came up to many solutions to why it happens but i just cant find a cure or stop it from occuring. my recent incident i just treated both yeast and bv. i used a 7 day cream (micanazole) and 14 metronizadole  while taking the medication i came on my cycle one night while inserting the cream i attracted a heavy flow and i didnt think the medication took well because it all seem to come out in a bubble. so i tried taking an extra dose so i applied it 8 night instead of 7. i was wondering should i have done that.

it's not uncommon for females to get vaginitis frequently.  tampon use can contribute to it as well as birth control pills, unprotected sex and even just the wonderful hormones we all have.

is there any harm in treating 8 days instead of 7? no there is not.

are you seen every time you have genital symptoms for proper testing?  if you are getting vaginitis more than 2 or 3 times a year, you and your gyn can discuss ways to prevent it.

also check out a product called fem dophilus by jarrow. You can find it online - even on amazon. store it in the fridge if you purchase it. You take it twice a day until you've been vaginitis free for a few months and then go to once daily. It has good research behind it ( the types of bacteria in it that is ) that shows that it is effective in reducing vaginitis in females.  It's a probiotic that increases the "good" bacteria in us gals in our urogenital tract to help fight off overgrowth of the bacteria and yeasts that cause vaginitis commonly.
