sex-related question

i have a boyfriend. and heres the problem. we had sex for more than 3 years. i am just concern because he has a 2 pimple like in his penis near the scrotum. im kinda freak about this. he told me it is painless. actually, it was a long time ago since he had this. i am just confused. if i think it's a syphillis, herpes or whatever, i must be infective also but i didnt have any sign in my body. he has known smoker for 10 years, he keeps on telling me that he acquired these 2 pimple like due to smoking. this is very embarrasing but i am really concern about my health.  i hope you can help me to figure out what's going on. thanks in advance

Warts are just fleshy little growths. They are normally skin coloured and they don't have pus in side them, so they don't look like pimples.

Warts are caused by low risk HPV which is a virus. The HPV virus also causes high risk which results in cell changes in the cervix, which can lead to cancer, and rarely causes genital cancers in men.

Check ups are never as bad as people anticipate them to be, the doctors see STDs every day so there's no need to be ashamed. We are all at risk of catching something once we start to have sex. If you don't get checked you will just carry on worrying and making yourself ill when the pimples are probably just pimples - nothing to worry about

Were they there before or after he became sexually active? Herpes will come and go.  Warts...maybe.  Syphilis sores do not look like pimples. Look up pictures of them and you will see what I mean. If you get std testing, it would be for peace of mind because what you describe could also not be std related which is more like the case.

Those pimples could be anything , if they are painless(Herpes is with many blisters and painful with the penis turning real burning red during an outbreak) , they could be HPV or Syphilis or any other infection(bacterial or Fungi) . Both of you can consult a Dermatologist and can test for STD's.
