sick cat gave me an possible std {seriouse}
hi guys,
i live in a out of the way area and recently i took in a sick cat that i came across out in the forest. the last time i had seen this cat it had a digrage coming from its vaginal area.the cat has since gone away and has not come back yet. ever since comeing into contact with the cat ive felt sick have constant stuffy nose, watery eyes ,sore back{not all the time} stiff joints, stomach porblems and i have started to break out in what looks like really bad acne. also ive noticed the left corner of my mouth has stated to reden and dry out{comes and goes} sore throat tooth problems.
iam also tired all the time and find it hard to wake up. i fell the worst ive ever felt in my intire life.
this has been going on for months.
is it possible the cat gave me some sorta std?

possibly you should be checked for lyme disease. it's possible the cat had ticks, which can infect you with lyme disease, which, by the way, is not an std.

Did you have sex with this cat? This is STD forum, meaning "sexually" transmitted diseases, not a FTD or "feline" transmitted disease forum. I just feel sorry for people with legitimate questions. If you really are serious about it, perhaps you should go see a doctor or make a visit to a hospital to ease your fears, good luck.

and no i did not have sex with the cat. iam just worried tha cat may have had something seriously worng with it and in turn gave it to me. city people drop un wanted pets off all the time out here.

No offense, but I'm with SunnyTriangle on this one, it sounds like you are taking advantage of this "free" forum to ask a question unrelated to STD's because you don't want to spend the money asking your own doctor. Anyways I'm sure the Doc will just delete this thread because it's such a ludicrous questions, but entertaining tho! The next time my dog Lola and I get intimate, I'll be sure to wear a condom because I don't want to catch an STD.

You can't assume that the cat had some sort of feline STD just because she had an apparent discharge from the vaginal area. (STDs have been documented in several species, including cattle, sheep, and rabbits, but none of those is transmitted to people. I have not heard of feline STDs.)
The most common recogized disease that can be transmitted from cats to humans is toxoplasmosis, but it is transmitted by contact with cat feces, and your symptoms don't sound like that disease. It sounds more likely like you have had a garden-variety viral infection. In any case, I can't speculate any further on what is causing your problem; you'll need to see a health care provider and get things checked out. But don't worry about some sort of wierd STD from the cat.
