std help!

I got chlamydia when i was on the zithrymocin pack and was treated when with azithromycin a month after i would have gotten it. My partner tested positive and i tested negative. So I had a false negative its been about 3 weeks since i took my meds and am still having symptoms. Could my chlamydia not have cleared since i was on the same medicine they gave me when i got it? Ive had issues since I had gotten it the first time in October and cleared but all my tests come back negative? Ive had symptoms even after my medicine. Could the strain be undetectable or not clear out? Can i still have it and all my tests come back as a false negative???

If your still having symptoms do have a followup with your doctor. Chlamydia causes interior urethra infection that inturn causes a sore. The germs may have been killed but you may still have a healing issue.

Hi there and welcome.  Well, it is my understanding that many doctors use a three test rule for the standard of care.  Meaning, you have to be tested three times and all three have to be negative to be thought of as cured.  Did you have those three tests?  In all honesty, I think you should see your doctor.  When you talk about symptoms, chlamydia is one of those std's that most people don't have detectable symptoms.  Discharge and burning with urination are the two you 'may' have and those could be other things.

I would see your doctor to discuss this hon.  good luck
