just make sure herpes was included in that testing. it's not a part of routine std testing. most clinics only test for 2-3 std's when you ask for testing.
I was tested for everything, and everything came back negative.
you were negative so the additional information is meaningless.
did you get tested for herpes too with your testing?
unprotected oral sex is not safe sex! We always recommend having protected oral sex. syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, hsv1 and hpv are the risks from having unprotected oral sex.
protected anal sex is a risk for hpv, herpes and syphilis.
have you had your gardasil shots for hpv yet?
grace
All my results came back negative. I just don't understand the Hep c.
So, I was surprised to see how fast I received my results. I'm a little confused in understanding the Hepatitis results, it says i'm negative. It says this.
"Negative: 0.9 In order to reduce the incidence of a false positive result, the CDC recommends that all s/co ratios between 1.0 and 10.9 be confirmed with additional RIBA or PCR testing."
do you understand that?
I live in England and the results here can take up to two weeks. Hopefully yours will be sooner than that:)
results should be in with in 3 days max.
Well, I already went ahead and got tested today for a full screening. Just wanted to keep you informed. Do you know how long the results can take?
thanks
thank you very much, I think I will just go to have a peace of mind.
Thank you again.
Chances are a guy wouldn't lie about his status, the problem comes when he assumes he's clean but actually hasn't been tested for a while to really know for sure. Oral sex is low risk for all STDs. The only real concern would be oral gonorrhea but this is rare. If the condom stayed in place and didn't break with the anal I wouldn't worry about that encounter either. I would still recommend getting tested as you've had unprotected oral but you don't really have anything to worry about. :)
