stinging foreskin

A full month ago I had unprotected sex and woke up the next morning with burning on the foreskin and in tip of urethra.

I did come down with the flu the next week, but don't know if it was related.

Over the next week I had about 4 flat patches of dry skin on the base (not foreskin] which flaked off to leave a red mark that left within a couple of days.

Thirty days later the stinging remains on the foreskin and in the tip of the urethra.  Although the stinging tends to get better and worse and intermittantly affect different areas on the foreskin, the strongest stinging irritation has been in one area.

The main visible symptom is redness of the irritated foreskin.  Any ideas?
