swollen red bump

I had notice one night that i had a swollen red bump right above my penis, about 1/2 an inch above. At first i thought it was an insect bite. After 3 days the swelling and redness did not go away. I was researching on herpes, looking at pictures but none of them seem to compare. There is nothing on the penis. The first 2 days it would bother me only when touched. After that it would annoy me while walking, sitting etc.. What could it be?

Go in to a std clinic, planned parenthood, your doctors office, while having the symptoms and get it looked at.

Sounds like an infected hair. Is there a hair growing out of it?
