testicular pain could it be std

by mike8002, Sep 08, 2008 12:07AM
hi,
I had protect sex and unprotect oral with a girl i didn't know. I went and got tested 4 days later and everything was negative. now after 2 weeks i had some scrotal burning sensation for about 3 days so I decided to put some ice on it. the next day I started having pain in my testicals. the pain keeps moving from one testical to the other but never both at once. mostly on my left. today i just started taking azithromycin 500 mg. is that a wise decision and could the pain be from the ice? Thank you for your help

Have you noticed any other symptoms? It could just be a simple fungal infection for the burning. Not sure about the testicular pain. Have you had any recent testicular injury?

thank for your fast reply
symptoms I have slight burning when urinating. injuries not that I know of, but i was so scared I was self examining 3-4 times a day and especially after the burning started. but the pain started the day right after I put ice on it. the first day the pain was comes and goes, the second day was all the time but not as much. and yesterday I wasn't able to sleep.
the burning i did use an antifungal and yeast and did help.

Burning while urinating could be sign of an STD. I would get tested just to ease your mind.

Just to let you know with the burning while urination from unprotected oral it could be Gonorrhea or NGU. Gon-symptoms usually appear 2-5 days after but could take upto a month in rare cases, and NGU is 7-14 days for symptoms. Most of the time you will also notice a discharge also.

But the slight burning could just be irritation for sex examining.

if the pain and burning continues see a urologist you could have a cyst on your testicle that can cause these issues you could also have aprostate infection or prostatitis.  They will be able to ge tot the bottom of it.  If you did gon and chl tests more than two days after the event, they are highly accurate and conclusive.  Nothing else from oral sex really burns except perhaps Herpes and not in all people.  Good luck wish you all the best.
